Edwardian Red (sold)

Perhaps a bit naughty, perhaps more than a bit... This evening ensemble of 1912 is based on a design from an Edwardian French fashion magazine. Rather daring  in color and design, the gown is layered in red satin, red lace and black silk charmeuse.

The ensemble includes:
  • evening gown in red and black, with sideswept hobble skirt and ornamental tassels
  • satin and ostrich plume turban with crystal ornament
  • garnet and jet crystal and glass parure
  • red silk velvet evening wrap with tasseled ends
  • luxuriant red and black feather fan

Elizabethan Gold (sold)

This demure young miss of 1585 has put on all her white and gold finery; for a gala? For a special meeting with a certain someone? Or perhaps to visit the court of Elizabeth for the first time?

The ensemble includes:
  • pale yellow and metallic gold brocade overgown with attached stomacher and lace collar
  • white taffeta underskirt with cream brocade partlet (front piece)
  • muslin and lace Spanish farthingale (conical hoop skirt)
